CGIV2012 "the Sixth European Conference on Colour in Graphics, Imaging, and Vision" will be held May 6-9, 2012 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Paper Submissions are due October 23, 2011. Technical sessions at this event fall within the following scientific tracks: · Image Quality Session Chair: Ivar Farup, Gjøvik University College (Norway) · Colour Image and Video Processing. Session Chair: Chaker Larabi - University of Poitiers (France) · Colour Reproduction Session Chair: Peter Zolliker, Empa (Switzerland) · Colour Science Session Chair: Reiner Lenz, Linköping University (Sweden) · Colour Vision/Psychophysics Session Chair: Maria Vanrell, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain) · Computational Colour Session Chair: Sebastiano Battiato, University of Catania (Italy) · Colour in Print, Art, and Design Session Chair: Carinna Parraman – University of the West of England (UK) · Spectral Colour Science Session Chair: Markku Hauta-Kasari, University of Eastern Finland (Finland) For a complete list of topics, please visit the conference website. Short courses will be held as a part of CGIV2012. Proposals are invited from academia, industry, organizations, and individuals for courses of 3 hours in length. Further, CGIV2012 will continue to organize colour workshops (half- and/or full-day). These workshops may take a number of forms, with the common goal of providing a forum for intensive, collaborative discussions (not lectures) and/or hands-on work about actual topics in colour science. The committee is looking specifically for short courses and workshops that will be attractive to PhD students and young researchers. Proposals, not exceeding two pages, should be sent to cgiv@imaging.org attn: Short Course and Workshop Chair. CGIV2012 provides a forum for color scientists worldwide to share the latest research and innovations across a broad range of digital and analog imaging disciplines. -- __________________________________________ Prof. Sebastiano Battiato (Ph.D.) Università di Catania Dipartimento di Matematica ed Informatica IPLAB@CT: www.dmi.unict.it/~iplab Home: www.dmi.unict.it/~battiato Tel. +39 095 7337224 Fax. +39 095 7337223 or +39 095 330094
