A sunny paradise on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico, Marco Island features six miles of beach and over 100 miles of waterways within its 24 square miles. Marco Island is the largest barrier island within Southwest Florida’s Ten Thousand Islands and is surprisingly diverse, with topography that includes high sandhills, slash pine forests, sandy fields, as well as quartz sand beaches and mangrove swamps. It is also the only place in Southwest Florida to see the famous Florida burrowing owls. May temperature ranges from a low of 66º F (19º C) to a high of 88º F (31º C) with Gulf water temperature an average of 82º F (28º C). ============= Important Dates ============= February 13, 2012 Camera ready submission due February 17, 2012 Acceptance Notices ============= Submissions ============= We are offering a second round for submission of poster abstracts (up to 250 words) to give new and developing research an outlet for peer feedback. Each submitted poster abstract will be subject to an editorial review to determine acceptability. Editors can make spelling, grammatical, and formatting changes to the abstracts. All posters will be presented according to space and time availability. An author of each accepted poster abstract is required to register, attend, and present the poster. It is a requirement of FLAIRS that there will be at least one early regular author registration per submission. Submissions must be original, and not submitted concurrently to another conference. Abstract papers must be in AAAI format, and submitted as PDF through the EasyChair conference system, which can be accessed through the main conference web site (www.FLAIRS-25.info). The proceedings of FLAIRS-25 will be published by the AAAI. Authors of accepted papers will be required to sign a form transferring copyright of their contribution to AAAI. An author of each accepted paper is required to register, attend, and present the poster at FLAIRS.
