CALL FOR TUTORIALS (ICPR 2012) http://www.icpr2012.org The ICPR-2012 Organizing Committee invites tutorial proposals for the 21st International Conference on Pattern Recognition (www.icpr2012.org). The tutorials must be half (or full)-day and will be held on November 11th, 2012, immediately before the start of the main conference. We seek proposals for tutorials on core techniques and areas of knowledge that enjoy broad interest within the ICPR community. We are interested in tutorials on established or emerging research topics within the field itself, but we also welcome tutorials from related research fields or application areas provided that they are of sufficient interest to the ICPR community. The ideal tutorial should attract a wide audience. It should be broad enough to provide a gentle introduction to the chosen research area, but it should also cover the most important contributions in depth. Proposals that exclusively focus on the presenters' own work or commercial presentations are not eligible. Tutorial proposals should be submitted via email in PDF format to tutorial co-chairs. Soon after submission, proposers should expect to receive a verification of receipt. Guidelines for preparing a proposal can be found at: http://www.icpr2012.org/cft.html. The timeline is as follows: * Tutorial proposals due: April 30, 2012 * Acceptance notification: June 28, 2012 * Tutorial material due: Oct 30, 2012 * Tutorials date: Nov. 11, 2012 ICPR2012 Tutorials Co-chairs Eisaku Maeda (maeda.eisaku(at)lab.ntt.co.jp) NTT Communication Science Laboratories Andreas Dengel (andreas.dengel(at)dfki.de) German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence(DFKI) Website: http://www.icpr2012.org/cft.html
