IEA/AIE-2012 CALL FOR PAPERS Sponsored by: International Society of Applied Intelligence (ISAI) In Cooperation with: Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI); Association for Computing Machinery (ACM/SIGART, SIGKDD); Austrian Association for Artificial Intelligence (OeGAI); Catalan Association for Artificial Intelligence (ACIA); Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence (CAAI); Dalian University of Technology (DLUT); European Neural Network Society (ENNS); International Neural Network Society (INNS); Italian Artificial Intelligence Association (AI*IA); Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence (JSAI); Lithuanian Computer Society--Artificial Intelligence Section (LIKS-AIS); Slovenian Artificial Intelligence Society (SLAIS); Spanish Society for Artificial Intelligence (AEPIA); Taiwanese Association for Artificial Intelligence (TAAI); Taiwanese Association for Consumer Electronics (TACE); Texas State University-San Marcos. Scope: IEA/AIE-2012 continues the tradition of emphasizing applications of applied intelligent systems to solve real-life problems in all areas including engineering, science, industry, automation & robotics, business & finance, medicine and biomedicine, bioinformatics, cyberspace, and man-machine interactions. IEA/AIE-12 will include oral paper presentations, invited speakers, and special sessions. Invitation: Authors are invited to submit their papers in English of up to 10 pages, presenting the results of original research or innovative practical applications. Practical experiences with state-of-the-art AI methodologies are also acceptable when they reflect lessons of unique value to the conference attendees. Shorter works, up to 6 pages, may be submitted as short papers representing work in progress or suggesting possible research directions. Paper Submission: All paper submissions will be done electronically, at the web site http://ssdut.dlut.edu.cn/iea-aie/. Papers will be peer reviewed and final copies of papers for inclusion in the conference proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag (format instructions available at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html) in their 'Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence' series. Referees will be asked to nominate papers for a Best Paper Award to be announced at the conference. All papers will be automatically considered for publication in an expanded form in selected international journals, including Applied Intelligence, Soft Computing, Evolutionary Intelligence, Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing.
