Call for Papers Special Section on Multimedia Content Analysis The ITE (Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers) Transactions on Media Technology and Applications announces a forthcoming Special Section on “Multimedia Content Analysis” to be published in April 2013. The objective of the special section is focus on the multimedia content analysis technologies, methods, and their applications. You are strongly encouraged to submit original research papers of the topics which include • Multimedia Content Analysis and its applications, • Multimedia annotation theory and applications, • Image Recognition and its applications, • Video Recognition and its applications, • Automatic Information Extraction, • Automatic Metadata Production, • Other related works of Multimedia Content Analysis. Submission Guidelines: Papers must be submitted by August 31, 2012. Manuscripts should be prepared according to the guideline given in the “Information for Authors”. The latest version is available at the web site, http://www.ite.or.jp/en/mta/ITE_Trans_MTA_IFA.html. Authors should write "Special Issue: Multimedia Content Analysis " in the cover letter and choose the [Special Issue] as a "Type of Submission" on the online screen. Do not choose [Normal Issue]. The term for revising the manuscript after acknowledgement of conditional acceptance for this special section could be shorter than that for other regular issues (30 days) because of the tight review schedule.
