CALL FOR PAPERS 2nd International Conference on Pattern Recognition Applications and Methods ICPRAM website: http://www.icpram.org/ February 15 - 18, 2013 Barcelona, Spain Sponsored by: INSTICC INSTICC is Member of: WfMC IMPORTANT DATES: Regular Paper Submission: July 25, 2012 Authors Notification (regular papers): October 25, 2012 Final Regular Paper Submission and Registration: November 15, 2012 _____________________________________ Let me kindly inform you that the International Conference on Pattern Recognition Applications and Methods (ICPRAM 2013 - http://www.icpram.org/) steering committee cordially invites you to submit a paper to the ICPRAM 2013 conference, to be held in Barcelona, Spain. The deadline for paper submission is scheduled for July 25, 2012. The International Conference on Pattern Recognition Applications and Methods would like to become a major point of contact between researchers, engineers and practitioners on the areas of Pattern Recognition, both from theoretical and application perspectives. Contributions describing applications of Pattern Recognition techniques to real-world problems, interdisciplinary research, experimental and/or theoretical studies yielding new insights that advance Pattern Recognition methods are especially encouraged. We would like to highlight the presence of the following keynote speakers: - Alberto Sanfeliu, Universitat Politecnica de Cataluyna, Spain - Tomaso Poggio, CBCL, McGovern Institute, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, United States - Mario Figueiredo, Technical University of Lisbon - IST, Portugal - Bikash Sabata, Ventana Medical Systems, United States ICPRAM is interested in promoting high quality research as it can be confirmed by last year acceptance rates, where from 259 submissions, 24% were accepted as full papers. Additionally, 21% were presented as short papers and 12% as posters. Submitted papers will be subject to a double-blind review process. All accepted papers (full, short and posters) will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and on CD-ROM support. BMKW A short list of presented papers will be selected so that revised and extended versions of these papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in a AISC Series book. The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP and EI (Elsevier Index). All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SciTePress Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/). SciTePress is member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/). Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference closing session. Please check the website for further information (http://www.icpram.org/BestPaperAward.aspx). We also would like to highlight the possibility to submit to the following Workshop, whose deadline is scheduled for November 6, 2012: - International Workshop on Biometrics: Technologies, Systems and Applications - BTSA (http://www.icpram.org/BTSA.aspx) Workshops, Special Sessions, Tutorials as well as Demonstrations dedicated to other technical/scientific topics are also envisaged: companies interested in presenting their products/methodologies or researchers interested in holding a tutorial are invited to contact the conference secretariat. Workshop chairs and Special Session chairs will benefit from logistics support and other types of support, including secretariat and financial support, to facilitate the development of a valid idea. ICPRAM 2013 will be held in conjunction with ICAART 2013 (http://www.icaart.org) and ICORES 2013 (http://www.icores.org) in Barcelona, Spain. Registration to ICPRAM will enable free attendance to any sessions of ICAART and ICORES conferences as a non-speaker. We hope to welcome you in Barcelona, Spain next February, 2013!
