Call for participation The Summer School on Image Processing aims to provide a stimulating opportunity for graduate and PhD students interested in image processing. The 21th edition will be held between July 4 and 13 2013 in Veszprém, Hungary, organized by the Laboratory of Image Processing, Faculty of Information Technology, University of Pannonia. Participants will benefit from direct interaction with internationally renowned researchers in various fields of image processing and computer vision as well as from interacting with fellow participants from all over the world. Students will also have the possibility to present their research. The established tradition of SSIP is that, in addition to morning lectures, students work on a project assignment in international teams, which are then evaluated by a committee of lecturers on the last day. The best project works are awarded symbolic prizes. Students will receive a certificate of attending the Summer School and passing the exam, which is recognized as a special PhD course by several universities. Application: The school will be open to about 50 motivated and pre-selected candidates. Graduate and PhD students, post-docs and young researchers (both from academia and industry) are encouraged to apply by submitting the online registration form at http://ssip2013.mik.uni-pannon.hu. Student Session: SSIP provides the opportunity for participants to present their research in a 20 minutes talk. Please submit your proposal along with your registration form. SSIP Grant: Students currently enrolled in a PhD, MSc, or BSc degree (with a research component) may apply for a SSIP grant to cover part of their registration and accommodation fees. Accommodation: Participants can arrange their accommodation by themselves. We offer a limited number of places in a student hostel for a moderate price. The hostel is located in closed to the location of SSIP.
