16th IEEE International Workshop on Performance Evaluation of Tracking and Surveillance Call for Papers

CALL FOR PAPERS PETS 2014 16th IEEE International Workshop on Performance Evaluation of Tracking and Surveillance OVERVIEW The 2014 International Workshop on Performance Evaluation of Tracking and Surveillance (PETS'14) continues the series of highly successful PETS workshops held for over ten years (FG 00, CVPR '01, ECCV '02, ICVS '03, ICCV '03, ECCV'04,..., AVSS'12, WVM'13). The goal of the PETS workshop has been to foster the emergence of computer vision technologies for detection and tracking by providing evaluation datasets and metrics that allow an accurate assessment and comparison of such methodologies. PETS 2014 is sponsored by the EU project ARENA https://www.informationsystems.foi.se/%7Earena-fp7 , which is making available for this workshop the 'ARENA Dataset'. The dataset consists of a series of multi-camera video recordings where the main subject is the detection and understanding of human behaviour around a parked truck. The dataset presents different challenges covering object detection and tracking, abnormal event detection and behaviour understanding (discriminating between normal, abnormal/rare behaviour, and real threats). IMPORTANT DATES May 31, 2014 Deadline for submission of electronic paper and XML results June 21, 2014 Notification of acceptance June 30, 2014 Deadline for camera-ready version August 25, 2014 Workshop in Seoul FURTHER INFORMATION The full call-for-papers, dataset and submission requirements is detailed on the workshop web site: http://pets2014.net For more information, contact: j.m.ferryman@reading.ac.uk
