CVPR 2015 Workshops: Call for Proposals
CVPR 2015 Workshops: Call for Proposals
Proposal Deadline: October 17, 2014 (midnight local time)
Notification by Nov 28, 2014
Proposals for workshops to be held together with the 2015 Computer
Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference (CVPR 2015) are
solicited. Workshops will take place on June 11-12 at the same venue
as the main conference.
The purpose of workshops is to provide a comprehensive forum on topics
that will not be fully explored during the main conference as well as
to encourage the discussion of technical and application issues in
depth. We also welcome "Challenge Workshops" that aim to compare new
and established methods on common data sets. CVPR 2015 organizers will
collect workshop registrations, provide facilities, and distribute
electronic copies of the workshop proceedings.
There is competition for workshop space and time, so proposals will be
evaluated by a committee. Proposals must justify relevance and
viability of intended workshops to enable this competitive selection
process. Also note that publication deadlines are very tight this year
with main conference notification of acceptance on March 2 and the
camera-ready deadline for workshops on April 27.
Proposals should be submitted by email to cvpr2015_ws@googlegroups.com
by Friday, Oct 17.
Proposals should include the following information:
- Workshop title.
- Proposers' names, titles, affiliations, and primary contact email.
- Names and bios of any invited speakers and indication of whether they have agreed to speak.
- Preference for half- or full-day event.
- Description of relevance and viability.
- Topics that will be covered and rough program.
- Anticipated target audience as well as expected number of attendees.
- Description of how this proposal relates to previous workshops at CVPR/ICCV/ECCV.
