17th IEEE International Workshop on Performance Evaluation of Tracking and Surveillance Call for Papers

CALL FOR PAPERS

PETS 2015

17th IEEE International Workshop on Performance Evaluation of
Tracking and Surveillance

http://pets2015.net

OVERVIEW

The 2015 International Workshop on Performance Evaluation of
Tracking and Surveillance (PETS'15) continues the series of
Highly successful PETS workshops held for over ten years
(FG 00, CVPR'01,ECCV '02, ICVS '03, ICCV '03, ECCV'04,?,
WVM'13, AVSS'14). The goal of the PETS workshop has been to
foster the emergence of computer vision technologies for detection
and tracking by providing evaluation datasets and metrics that
allow an accurate assessment and comparison of such methodologies.

PETS 2015 is sponsored by the EU P5 project: www.foi.se/p5

The workshop addresses the application of multi-sensor surveillance
For protection of critical infrastructure. Such infrastructure
(including power plants and mobile assets) could be considered as
targets for activists or even terrorists.

Two datasets are provided:

(1) a multi sensor dataset as used for the PETS2014 challenge which
addresses protection of critical mobile assets (the ARENA Dataset);
and
(2) a new dataset - the P5 Dataset - addressing the application of
multi sensor surveillance to protect the perimeter of a nuclear
power plant.

Papers are solicited on either:
(1) contributions solving the scene understanding challenge based
On one or more of the datasets described above
OR
(2) performance evaluation methodology addressing tracking and
surveillance (no explicit requirement to process the dataset)

IMPORTANT DATES

May 31, 2015 Deadline for submission of electronic paper/results
June 21, 2015 Notification of acceptance
June 29, 2015 Deadline for camera-ready version
August 25, 2015 Workshop in Karlsruhe
