                           CALL FOR PAPERS

                           www.iv2016.org

******************************************************************************

The Intelligent Vehicles Symposium (IV'16) is a premier forum
sponsored by the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society
(ITSS). Researchers, engineers, practitioners, and students, from
industry, universities and government agencies are invited to present
their latest work and to discuss research and applications for
Intelligent Vehicles and Vehicle-Infrastructure Cooperation. Technical
sessions, workshops, poster sessions, exhibition, and technical visits
will be organized. The IV'16 is hosted by Chalmers University of
Technology and SAFER Vehicle and Traffic Safety Centre.

Gothenburg is a perfect city for the symposium because it is the
centre of automotive industry in Sweden, with headquarters of Volvo
Group, Volvo Cars, and the supplier Autoliv, and where many
international companies and academia have their development and
research base.

Demos at AstaZero
====================

AstaZero is a brand new proving ground for active safety testing with
unique environments for road safety research. AstaZero's facility
is currently the only test facility in the world specifically
developed for tests and research surrounding active safety. The
proving ground contains a 5,7 km long rural road, a city area, a high
speed area, and a multilane road. The facility is strategically placed
in the centre of the West Sweden automotive cluster and the assembled
expertise that exists within the field of safety. The stage 1 of the
proving ground was opened in August 2014.

During IV'16, the delegates are welcome to AstaZero for
demonstrations of low and high speed active safety systems by several
vehicle manufacturers and suppliers. Proposals for organizing
demonstrations are welcome.
