We cordially invite you to participate in the 2017 edition of ICIAP
2017 which will be held in Catania, Italy.
ICIAP 2017 is the 19th edition of a series of conferences organized
biennially by the Italian Member Society (GIRPR) of the International
Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR).
The conference covers both classic and most recent trends in computer
vision, pattern recognition and image processing and promises to be a
very exciting forum where to meet scholars and students. Specific
topic areas have been selected, each one overseen by scientists, among
the main experts in the respective areas:
1. Video Analysis & Understanding
2. Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning
3. Multiview Geometry and 3D Computer Vision
4. Image Analysis, Detection and Recognition
5. Multimedia
6. Biomedical and Assistive Technology
7. Information Forensics and Security
8. Imaging for Cultural Heritage and Archaeology
ICIAP 2017 proceedings will be published by Springer in the Lecture
Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series. ICIAP 2017 received 229 paper
submissions coming from all over the world, The peer-review selection
process was carried out by three distinct reviewers in most of the
cases. This ultimately led to the selection of 138 high quality
manuscripts, 23 orals, and 115 interactive papers/posters, with an
overall acceptance rate of about 60% (about 10% for orals).
While the main conference will be held during September 13-15, 2017,
ICIAP 2017 also will include 5 tutorials and 7 workshops, held on
Monday, September 11 and Tuesday, September 12, 2017, on a variety of
topics.
