past ten editions of INDIACom, since its inception in 2007; INDIACom –
2017 (IEEE Conference ID: 40353); 11th INDIACom; 2017 04th International
 Conference on Computing For Sustainable Global Development, Technically
 Sponsored by IEEE Delhi Section and in association with IET (UK), Delhi
 Local Networks, ISTE Delhi Section , IETE Delhi Centre, CSI Region-I
& Divisions-I, II, III, IV & V and GGSIP University, New Delhi
to be held during 01st -- 03rd March, 2017 at Bharati Vidyapeeth, New
Delhi (INDIA). On the eve of the occasion of INDIACom-2017 a special
session on 'Video Surveillance and Event Detection' will be conducted by
 Dr. Seba Susan, as session chairman. Original contributions are
solicited for the special session 'Video Surveillance and Event
Detection' on the eve of INDIACom -- 2017; 11th INDIACom -- 4th 2017
International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development
 in the heart of the India’s capital and historical city: New Delhi.

About the Special Session on Video Surveillance and Event Detection:
With the latest imaging systems and high power computing, real-time
automated monitoring of videos is possible. The aim of automated video
surveillance is to extract significant information from the video such
as the analysis of recurring image patterns such as text or objects, or
decoding the activity being performed, or detecting the occurrence of
anomalous events that significantly deviates from normal behavior.
Efficient video-surveillance algorithms need to be developed as an
effective solution to automated surveillance problems. This special
session seeks to bring together the latest original research on video
surveillance algorithms and the detection of events in videos.
Original and unpublished submissions addressing emerging issues in video
 surveillance and event detection are invited that include but are not
limited to, the following topics.
*	Activity recognition
*	Gait recognition
*	Event or anomaly detection in videos
*	Object tracking
*	Novel video feature representation and extraction
*	Machine learning algorithms for video surveillance
*	Analysis of specific image patterns such as text or objects in videos

Review Process, Publication and Indexing
The conference aims at carrying out two rounds of review process. In the
 first round, the papers submitted by the authors will be assessed on
the basis of their technical suitability, scope of work and plagiarism.
The corresponding authors of qualifying submissions will be intimated
for their papers to be double blind reviewed by three experts on the
basis of originality, novelty, clarity, completeness, relevance,
significance and research contribution. The shortlisted papers of all
the tracks (Track 1 - Track 5) will be accepted for presentation and
publication in the Soft Copy of Conference proceedings, bearing ISBN
978-93-80544-24-3 serial, in the form of DVDs. INDIACom-2017 has applied

presentations), which will be presented in the conference, will be
submitted to IEEE Xplore for publication and indexing, which is indexed
with world’s leading Abstracting & Indexing (A&I) databases,
including ISI, SCOPUS, DBLP, EI-Compendex, Google Scholar, etc. Extended
 version of the selected papers will also be recommended to be published
 in the BIJIT; an international Journal having ISSN 0973-5658 serial,
