New science writing masterclass added to the MIUA 2017 programme:

David Johns from the Medical Image Analysis Network will be hosting a
30-minute masterclass on science writing for web on Wednesday
19th. Due to limited capacity, registration for this workshop is
required. Click the link to find out more and book your free place.

An interactive workshop that gives you the tools to write an engaging
and well-structured research summary that will communicate your work
to funders, industry, potential collaborators, or future employers.

You will be taken through the best-practice principles of writing for
web: plain English, narrative structure, and effective page
formatting. Being guided by these principles, you will then use a
specially created online template to write a summary to communicate
your own research.

All completed summaries will be offered a full copyediting service
after the workshop, and online publication on the MedIAN website and
its social media channels.

Resources for the masterclass, including re-usable content templates
and slides on the principles of writing for web, will be available for
download after the class.

Nb. Lunch will be served in the room from 12.00 and the workshop will
start around 12.15, when everyone has taken their lunch, and last for
approximately 30 minutes.
