The organizers of the 2026 International Conference on Advanced Visual
and Signal-Based Systems (AVSS) are pleased to invite proposals for
workshops to be held on August 31, 2026, in Lecce, Italy. Workshops
will precede the main conference (September 1-3) and are designed to
explore specific challenges and emerging topics in the field,
fostering dynamic discussion and community building.

We encourage submissions on new, interdisciplinary, or
application-oriented topics that bridge advances in multimedia and
signal-based systems with other research areas.

Scope and Topics


Workshop proposals on all topics related to visual and signal-based
systems are welcome. Areas of interest include, but are not limited
to:

Sensor-Centric: Smart Cameras, Deep Learning at the Edge, Multi-modal
Sensors, IoT for Surveillance.

Processing-Centric: Action & Activity Recognition, Anomaly Detection,
Person & Object Re-identification, Multi-target Tracking, Biometrics.

System-Centric: UAV-based Systems, Autonomous Systems, Large-Scale
Monitoring, Crowd Analysis, Privacy-Enhancing Technologies, AI Ethics.

Application-Centric: Urban Mobility & Traffic Management, Security and
Public Safety, Behavioral Analysis, Industrial Surveillance.

Submission Guidelines


Proposals should be submitted as a single PDF file (max 4 pages) and
must include the following sections:

    Title and Acronym
    Abstract (up to 200 words)
    Topics and Relevance
    Workshop Format (full/half day, tentative schedule)
    Organizing Committee (names, affiliations, bios, relevant experience)
    Tentative Program Committee
    Publicity Plan
    Past History (if applicable)
    Anticipated Attendance
    Special Requirements (any logistical/technical needs)


Organizer Responsibilities & Conference Support


AVSS 2026 will provide: logistical support, registration management,
and meeting space.

Workshop organizers are responsible for: setting up a workshop
website, issuing their own call for papers, managing the review
process, and creating the final program.

To be published by IEEE, organizers must ensure all accepted papers
meet quality standards and adhere to the publication schedule.
