CVPL Summer School on Machine Vision Call for Papers

VISMAC 2026 - CVPL Summer School on Machine Vision - Siena, Sep 21-25 2026

The international summer school VISMAC ("VISione delle
MACchine", Machine Vision in English) welcomes Ph.D. students and
researchers from both academia and industry. The school is organized
every two years by the Italian Association for Computer Vision,
Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning (CVPL), affiliated with the
International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR).

The program features leading national and international speakers, and
includes keynote talks, lectures, and tutorials. Topics cover a broad
range of areas in computer vision and pattern recognition.

The objectives of the school are threefold:

    to provide students and early-career researchers with a solid
            common background in computer vision and pattern recognition;
    to foster a stimulating environment for knowledge exchange;
    to promote research connections that can support future
            collaborations and career development.

 

The school will take place at the Santa Chiara Lab, University of
Siena, from September 21 to 25, 2026, and will offer an intensive
schedule of lectures (approximately 8 hours per day), complemented by
social events.

At the end of the school, participants who require a formal
certification may take an exam. A certificate of attendance will be
issued to all participants.
