Call for Bids to Host 30th ICPR 2030
Call for Bids to Host 30th ICPR 2030
Deadline: April 15, 2026
Contact: anna.esposito@unicampania.it
The International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR) is a
long-running major scientific event organized under the auspices
of the Int. Assoc. for Pattern Recognition (IAPR). ICPR aims to
bring together international experts to share their work and
experiences and to promote research and development in
Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning, with applications to
Computer Vision, Signal Processing, Document Analysis, Biometrics, etc.
The conference is hosted by an institution with the support of
an endorsing IAPR member organization (i.e., a national pattern
recognition society). Institutions interested in hosting ICPR 2030
must proceed according to the rules outlined in the latest version
of the guidelines. See:
https://iapr.org/docs/ICPR_Guidelines_Bid_2030.pdf
The location of ICPR conferences traditionally follows a rotating
schedule among different continents. For 2030, proposals from the
Americas are therefore strongly encouraged. However, high quality
bids from other locations will also be considered.
NOTE: Bidding and Hosting Guidelines are two separate documents.
Content has also changed from previous versions. It is important
for prospective hosts to carefully read both documents before
submitting a bid. See:
https://iapr.org/conferences/international-conference-on-pattern-recognition/icpr-proposals/
The submission of a bid implies full agreement with the IAPR constitution
and with the guidelines and procedures for hosting the conference.

A Note to Professional Conference Organizers (PCO)
================
Proposals to host ICPR (IAPR’s main conference) come from the
leaders of one or more of our member societies, which are located
all around the world. See:
https://iapr.org/about-us/iapr-membership/
The leaders of the proposal make their own decision whether to
engage with a PCO. If they wish, PCO’s can reach out to the
leaders of the relevant member societies to ask whether they
are planning an ICPR hosting bid.
ICPR normally uses a geographic rotation scheme, which favors the Americas
for 2030, although this is never guaranteed. The final decision about the
location of an ICPR is made by vote of the IAPR Governing Board.
